The latest Red Barn Market, our 5th location, opened Thursday February 4th. New owner/operators Scott and Melissa couldn’t wait to get the doors open when 8am. The new building transformed in 8 months is bright and inviting with fresh and colourful produce displays, rows of grocery, farm antiques, and photos of Old Victoria and Oak Bay reaching the ceiling.
With hot soups, fresh salads in the deli and a bustling sandwich bar drawing local residents and those working at nearby businesses, the community has given us a very warm welcome. Jon the butcher, is busy everyday cutting up our Island Raised Beef, Chicken and Pork. He and his team work to create savoury items like Jamaican Jerk Pork Tenderloin, Peppercorn Marinated Back Ribs, and Boneless Maui Ribs. The deli carries a large selection of salads and salamis along with Red Barn’s Own smoke meats like Double Smoked Bacon, Kielbassa, and Maple Ham.
